Welcome
Hello and a warm welcome. If you are feeling overwhelmed, confused or finding it hard to manage some aspect of everyday life, you’re not alone. Many people come to therapy when things feel difficult, unclear, or hard to face on their own. Therapy can offer space to reflect and begin to make sense of what’s happening for you. It can be challenging at times, but it can also support greater understanding, growth, and change over time.
I offer psychotherapy and counselling to adults who want to explore their experiences within a supportive, open, and authentic therapeutic relationship.
About Me
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, having completed four years of clinical training in Transactional Analysis (TA) at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.
My professional background is in NHS mental health services, where I worked as a social worker and mental health professional for 15 years before setting up my private practice. During that time, I supported people in both community and hospital settings, often through times of crisis and change. The work gave me a rich understanding of how life experiences, relationships and circumstances can impact mental health and wellbeing.
On a personal level, I know what it is to experience dark and difficult times. Feeling disconnected from yourself, others and the world around you can be overwhelming and challenging. Through my own personal therapy, I have experienced the powerful and transformative impact of a therapeutic relationship and know the profound changes it can bring.

All of these experiences shape the way I work. I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to the therapy room, to support you in your own process of self-exploration, healing and growth.

My Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in Transactional Analysis and is based on an Integrative perspective. This approach will help you to make sense of the different aspects of yourself that might feel conflicted, to understand your own patterns of behaviour, to develop an authentic self-expression and healthier ways of relating to others. Everyone is different, so my approach will be tailored to your specific needs and circumstances. Within the therapy room, I provide a warm, open-minded and non-judgemental space where you can freely share and explore your issues in confidence. I value and celebrate diversity in all its forms and warmly welcome people from all backgrounds. My practice is a safe haven for anyone who might feel marginalised, providing a supportive and nurturing environment.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics. I am currently working towards accreditation with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
